It's been a while in the making but u bought a 1976 460 with the c6 in it trailer special. I pick it up from Washington state early next month and driving it and a pop up camper back home to Alabama. Carb has been rebuilt. New fuel pump, valve cover gaskets been replaced. At some point the engine was rebuilt .30 over. Lower compression on 2 cylinders will have to look at that when I get up there. Full time up (plugs wires distrib points checked) replacing thermostat and antifreeze for good measure along with repacking wheel bearings. Anything else yall can thing over besides prayers?
Definitely prayers and alot of just in case money.
Maybe more just in case money than you paid for the truck.
Haha yeah I plan on a 2k slush fund. I'm spending a few days up there at my friends house (current owner) to go through it the best I can and replace the charging system while I'm at it.
Sounds like a fun road trip, good luck. You should bring a gas can with you, these trucks are not known for the best mileage. When was the last time it was driven more than around the driveway?

it has been driven all last summer and stored for the winter. Had issues starting when warm and had a rough idle that's why the card was rebuilt the the hard starting when warm didn't happen till after. Didnt have any fuel going to the carb after driving it a few days. Poured some gas down carb and ran till it was out. Having my buddy replace the fuel pump and filter. I'm projecting about 8 mpg pulling the pop up. Before the summer of 2017 it was used to drive back and forth from Washington to north dakota.
