10 years old NEW 460/c6

So since im working, well almost done with my truck, parts from friends and hear abouts are poping up like this one. 460/c6 combo rebuilt in 2000 been on a stand under a tarp for a 76 f250 just sitting around. what would its value be? should it be re-rebuilt due to sitting? idea on its value? its complete, not just small block...starter, etc all there. Regardless of the mod's if it was rebuild to just stock I want to know its value.

I just bought a complete 1975 460 with an Edelbrock carb and intake, and a mallaroy distributer for $200.00 but I think up to 4 for a completely stock one as long as it's fresh as they say. I would tear it down and check it out make sure the rings are fine and replace all
of the seals. Also that way you'll knof for sure it's fresh. There should be next to no marks on the bearing.

Ditto on the seals! 10 years is a long time for an engine to sit. as to value, call Waynes Engine Rebuilders in Riverside. I think they would be able to tell you the value of one that they would sell (Retail, of course, but at least an idea)

Good luck!

what it would cost retail, without the "sitting".... Ill call waynes anyways, im in riverside worst case I can get the seals cost too and have a reason to shop. They guy is thinking its worth 1k and i dont see how it could be valued that high. It dont look good, but I pulled a head earlier and it looks great inside.
