Single mom, don't know much about fixing cars so go easy lol. Horn wasn't working when I got the truck a few months ago, but I'd like it to. Can't afford to take it in anywhere right now so want to attempt to fix myself. When I hit the horn, the only noise I hear is a low clicking type noise. Any idea if it's simply the fuse or is it dead? Any help would be appreciated!
It's not a fuse if you hear a response to the Horn switch.
It's not the Clock spring in the steering wheel.
What's left is a relay and the Horn.
The Relay should be less than $5. Rock Auto pricing.
The horn about $15 to $20. Rock Auto Pricing.
Both these parts use push on wire connections.
Start at the Horn connections to see if voltage is there when then steering wheel center is pushed.
If yes, the Horn likely needs to be replaced.
It's your logic decision as you see the condition.
Good luck.
