do them both, you will be pretty much there anyway. You could take the fenders off and the front clip if you felt like it?

I don't think I would though.

I hope your right and that's all it is, but I don't it's very common for the head gaskets to just fail on the 6.7.

Head gasket issues are extremely uncommon on 6.7s. But, there have been cases of bad cylinder heads.

Finally got that head off. Reckon I'll get the other one off and take them down to have them looked at. Mahle kit was da#n near impossible to find but the internet is a wonderful thing. #1 was wet, the other 3 looked good.

Other bank looked good. Heads are at the machine shop getting pressure tested and inspected. Project took a lot longer than Iíd hoped, but life happens. Heads should be ready by the time I get home in 3 weeks and with any luck itíll be running this time next month.

Turns out both heads have cracks in an exhaust port. #1 exhaust wouldnít hold water without pressure. Canít remember which port on the other head was leaking as soon as he put a little pressure on it. New bare castings are being built and should be ready in a couple days. Valves and seats all looked good.
