V10 EXHUAST SOUND OPINION.

So I have a bone stock 2001 v10 4.30 gears, pulls my 7000 boat great, installed a replacement y pipe and walker dynomax super turbo, runs and pull even better, happy with the setup for sure. if you listen the there is deep tone to it, but if your not listening it sounds stock. Don't kill me for this question how much louder do you think it will be without the cat or a free flowing one.

Honestly if I wanted the 6.8 to be louder (which I don't as I don't really like the exhaust sound when unmuffled) I would skip the muffler and leave the cat.

Ok

I only want a little more sound, if I can't get that I'm leaving it alone. Straight through don't make power for a driver.

Do you have a tuner? If you are looking for a nice little performance (especially towing) boost a tuner with good custom tunes will put a smile on your face.
My EX is our dedicated tow rig for our 11K+ lbs TT and I haven't run it without tunes for over five years now, love my 5Star tunes!

Speaking of 5Star Tunes, when and where do they announce their sales/combo offers? Been waiting for a new Y pipe and some tunes for my SCT X4. :-)

I bought mine on a Memorial Day sale that was advertised here in the vendors section of the forum.

I would leave the Catalytic converter unless you want it to smell like fuel. Cat's for these aren't cheap either. Straight pipe will be super loud too, had that for a while.

Give Eric at Classic Chambered exhaust a call or email. Great sound.
