I want to change the plugs in my truck because it's been awhile. I was given Motorcraft SP-432 spark plugs. The plug has a full set of threads.
The plug I removed is a Motorcraft AWSF 32P and this plug has literally half the amount of threads.
Was I given the correct plug? If so why the change in thread pattern. I haven't installed the plug as of yet. Would like to confirm I have the correct plug.

Respectively,

The SP-432 set should be correct for your Expy ( gapped to .054 ). I don't know why the plugs don't look exactly like each other. Are all the plugs you're pulling out alike ? Are you the original owner ?
That is the plug that was given to me from the auto shop. The plug that was in the truck has half the amount of threads. I'm the second owner, I bought the truck 14 years ago when it had 30,000 it now has 117,000.
The distance from the end of the plug to the chamfer (seat) will be the same. The older plugs didn't have threads all the way up to the chamfer. You're fine.
Crap, I wasn't even thinking about what he was talking about. I thought he meant the whole threaded shaft was shorter LOL. Like a previous owner put short shafted plugs in it. This is another post where pictures would've really helped.
