Which is the correct spark plug?
I have noticed my Expy (2000 XLT 4x4 Sport) missing slightly every so often under load. Having close to 90K on the clock, I figured I better check the plugs as I bought the truck used. Yesterday, I pulled the passenger side front COP and plug, crossing my fingers that the threads didn't come out with the plug. I took a look at it once I had it out, and it was worn/pitted- gap was around .064. I figure it is time to replace the plugs. My question is, the plug I pulled out was an AWSF32P. I have the 2000 Ford repair CD, and it says the correct plug is an AWSF22E. Which plug is the correct one for my truck? Which one should I use? Is there a redesign of this plug to make it less likely to "blow out" (ie. more threads- or is that only for the 2001 and up heads). TIA.

There is a label under the hood which tells you the correct spark plug gap. VECI label.
According to the owners manual the 4.6 uses AWSF-32P and the 5.4 uses AWSF-22E
