Rust Damnit!
2000 F350, 227K Miles. Replacing nylon fittings on the lower door seals today (crew cab, four seals) and found both front doors having rust at the bottom, actually pushing out the door skin. Pulled the the insides, both are clean inside. Suppose I'll take a wire brush to them, heavy primer and POR-15. Anybody else seeing the bottom edge of their doors starting to corrode?

I have had cars rust so bad.. from new to junk yard in 10 years.... and under 100,000 miles...
best car I ever owned.. went from 1988 to 2004.. and 255,000 miles.. to the junk yard... frame rusted to nothing... nothing will stop RUST.. nothing..
ask the U.S. Navy...
Electronic anti-Rust devices.. only slow it down by 1-2 years...

POR-15 before the primer, and make sure you use at least two coats (three preferred). POR-15 won't work unless you get all the pinholes in the coating.

Are these trucks in locations where they use salt on the roads (Winter)? Close to salt water (Miami)? Wet locations where it always rain (Seattle)?
I had a Ford Super Duty going on 13 years and never saw any rust.
There are places you can take a truck in for under coating, door panels, fenders, etc protection.

There’s a reason that there are so many cab corners, inner and outer rocker panels and door bottoms, and bed wheel flares available in the aftermarket.
