The PO had about 10 thick washers holding the front of the cab up . I bought a cab mount rubber kit from steele rubber but I'm not sure I have everything else . Does anyone have an exploded view of the cab mounts ? There are also 2 L shaped rubbers and 4 small rubber tubes wich I cannot find a home for .
Ya I think I may be doing some modifying they don't go like I would have guessed and the PO had a huge stack of washers . I made motor mounts etc with minimal clearance on the trans . My project right now was to roll the cab back sand blast and undercoat the bottom of the cab and I knew that he did not have it correct but the fenders fenders-front end seemed to line up ok so I wasn't really concerned .
Oh goody I also do not have the large coned washers that I will assume go under the small rubbers and on top of the frame mounts . I do have the larger plates . Not that they are that specialized and they may be in boxes of assorted . It's odd that there is no rubber isolator under the cab mount . Or does the smaller rubber and washer go under the frame mount which is where it makes more sense to me .
If you look at that Midfifty pic again the large metal cup washer is welded to the bottom of the cab, next is the large rubber pad, then the other metal washer that helps line the mounts to the frame brackets with the smaller rubber pad between it and the frame bracket..
Ok in jniolon"s pic the bottom two cupped washers should be against the cab floor . There is definitely nothing welded to the bottom side of my floor . I was also curious that there was no extra support at the cab bottom .
The cup is welded to another piece from the factory. It doesn’t go directly to the floor. This picture shows the other piece, with cup attached. Without the other piece your cab will sit too low in the front to get your front clip to line up properly.
Thanks MIDFIFTY
Hard to tell how high that is without seeing from the side , but it's starting to make sense why the PO had a huge stack of washers in there . Are the plates with washers " they appear to be spot welded already " available separately or am I back in manufacturing mode ?
