EDGE INSIGHT Help ?

I bought an Edge Insight monitor a few weeks back and really like all the parameters it can display . Only issue I have is when I use remote start to start the truck , the monitor will not power up . Even after pushing button to start . I literally have to turn truck off and restart with normal start procedure for it to power on . Is this normal function ? Anyone else using this device with similar issue ? Thanks

Remote start keeps power off at alot of modules. I'm not surprised here. When you turn the key on though, it should have the power. Chances are the programmer is confused though.

I would write Edge products and let them know what's going on. I'm sure youre not the first. I would also make sure you have the most up to date software.

Which model? I have a CTS2, and it boots up and then turns off after a remote start. I touch the screen for a few seconds and it turns back on. No truck restart needed. Not sure of similar tricks for other models.

I didnt think the CTS2 was available for our trucks yet? Do they have anything available besides the suction mount?

suction cup mount isn’t too bad.

Have you found the instantaneous MPG to be relatively accurate? I tired it for a while, and found the readings to be all over the place, and not agreeing with the graph available in the center display.

that pic was a while back when I was still working out which data points to monitor. I’ve deselected instant mpg (yes, all over the place), DPF stat (doesn’t work), DEF level (just fill every 5k miles, doesn’t change day to day), and added DPF gpl (much better indication of pending regen).

Thanks for the replies guys ! Yes it is a CTS2 . I will give the touch screen a try tomorrow . BTW the def on the Insight did catch up with the truck . I like that it goes up in 1% increments ! I also found that Bullydog makes a pillar pod mount that could use the adapter that Edge makes . Has anyone tried that ? I am also not a fan of the windshield suction mount .

You don't have to hold your finger on the screen, as an FYI. Just tap it and it should come back to life.

I have one display set to the 8 gauge cluster, with EGT 1-4 across the top, and DPF%, Grams/L, Average dist between regens (Cannot locate a distance since last), and Regen (on/off). Since thing got above freezing, is the Grams/L that seems to trigger things, every time 8.37 then when it should roll over to 8.38 the regen starts.

That is how i had my CTS2 setup in my Chevy. I take it we lose the grab handle if we go that route on this truck? I never use it, so it doesn't bother me if we do.

Did that today and it worked !!!!! Thanks for the tip . I got to see what happens during a regen today . It started at 94% and only went down to 10% on the Edge . On the truck display it went to zero and the Edge showed 18% and it was still in regen mode down to 10% . Gas mileage went to crap and egt's went way up .
