As the title says, the problem started a couple of months ago. I have a 6 cylinder E150 with front and rear air. I do not use the rear since the van is partitioned off.
Front AC fan works fine just cruising around but when the accelerator is pushed down to speed up, the AC motor cuts off. Air comes back when I let off the gas.
Would this indicate a vacuum problem of some sort?
Has anyone ever run into this before? Thanks

So the blower motor stops completely, no air from the vents at all? This shouldn't be the case but a vacuum leak somewhere between the source near the throttle body and the function control switch (A/C, Max A/C, Vent, Heat, Defrost etc) can and does cause air flow to change from vents or floor to full defrost. returning to the selected function once vacuum has "caught up".
