1996 4.9 L starting problem
I have a 1996 F-150 4.9L Eddie Bauer ed. that has a problem starting in hot weather. When the outside temperature is above 85 degrees F my truck has a hard time starting. When it does crank it feels like it is only hitting on a couple of cylinders, but after awhile it straightens out and runs great. This only happens when the outside temperature is above 85 degrees and doesn't matter whether the engine is hot or cold. Anyone know what may be the problem as my mechanic can't get it to mess up on him. I replaced the ignition coil next to the distributor and doesn't seem as bad, but still happens during the summer months.
