I have a 460 I was told came out of 74 Ford RV and am refreshing top end before dropping in truck as my current 460 engine threw 2 rods. My question is I want to replace the push rods and lifters but wanted to know is the push rods and lifters different from a RV 460? I was told RV 460 had bigger cam and I dont know how to tell?
The push rods appear to be same length as my blown 460 however I dont know where that engine came from either. So how do I know what cam I have so that I can get correct parts?

So, could someone clarify for. I hear "RV" cam talked about a lot on here I assumed getting a 460 out of an RV would come with the "RV" cam. Is that not the case?

RV cams refer to after market cams that are aimed more for low end torque and pulling power rather than high end rpm

How much more clarifying do you need? As I stated, there is ONE Ford 460 cam from 1968 thru 1990.
