2011 F150 5.0 6 speed, 75000 miles. Anyone having a delayed engagement into gear after sitting all night. I am thinking internal leak down somewhere but I have not been able to find a TSB or any threads on this. At least not on the 2011, there was something on the older models,
I have a 2010 and a 2012 both of them have been doing this for years, I have learned to just get in, crank the truck and wait a few seconds before I even try to move it. I have had the transmissions serviced but it made no difference. Other than this minor inconvenience, both these trucks have been trouble free and only been to the dealer for recalls on minor items. One has 34,000 miles and the other one has 157,000 miles. The picture also has my 72 Highboy that I completely restored many years ago, it was a one owner that came from New Mexica
Thanks TP, I have been starting the truck, kicking it into neutral and letting it sit while plugging the cell phone in and such. By the time I have my ***** together and ready to hit the road the truck is also, so with what you have told me I will just keep on doing that and not worry to much about it. I do appreciate the time taken to respond, and love the highboy. All three are great looking trucks.
