I have a 2003 F-150 with 5.4L and 4R70W. It blows the dipstick out of the tube. I have checked for vacuum on the hose to the PCV valve and it is good. I checked the PCV valve and it appeared good but I replaced it anyway since I could not remember when I had last done that. With the valve on the hose and not in the valve cover I can hear it sucking. But every day the dipstick is blown out of the tube. Truck runs fine and uses less than a quart between 5k oil changes.

Suggestions?
How many miles on your 03'??
Well, Have you replaced the O-ring that the PCV sits in on the Valve/cam cover? Might not be gripping the PCV tight enough ??
Is the PCV a Motorcraft on or aftermarket?
Have you done compression test for each cylinder?? Highly suggested, Even if they all test out 170-190PSI. Then if nothing else you get a base line of engine health. If you go through the trouble of doing the compression test.....might as well put new spark plugs in too. Unless that has been done resently
Another thing to do , & if you haven't yet ?? Remove the upper intake or I call it the Throttle body housing and clean it. There is couple of internal EGR ports in there that can get crusted over with carbon deposits.... & you can get the back side of the throttle plate better ,as well as , you can remove the IAC valve and clean/replace it too.
