UPDATE: Beamtech LED headlights, install questions & a tip

UPDATE: SEE below replies for question and a tip on install

Hopefully a decent upgrade for a low cost... Now I gotta get the reverse lights brighter... Gonna try an LED bulb first... But may end up adding white lights out the back...

Ideas accepted....

My original thread on the Beamtechs turned out to last longer and garner more posts than I ever imagined. I can see why someone wouldn't want to read through all those pages.
With that said, I've had the Beamtechs since around Christmas 2017. One of the best improvements for a relatively low buck that I've ever made on a truck. So far, no issues whatsoever.
Then I kind of got into LED mode and changed tail lights, reverse lights, license plate lights, fog lights and front signals to LED.

Beamtech's Installed

I installed the Beamtech headlights, foglight & reverse lights. Could not be happier with the results.

Headlights Headlights
Fog lights Fog lights
Reverse Lights Reverse Lights

Not great pics, but some before and after. I don't have a shot of the reverse lights. They aren't definitely an improvement, but not super bright.

Not intending to hijack the thread as I've done the Beamtechs and really appreciate how much better they are than the halogens in my opinion, but does anybody know if Beamtech has a part number for the fog lights? I've never been flashed with them and feel the high beam improvement is equal to that of the low beam in my opinion. Thanks.

Part number on the Beamtech box is S1-9005.

How difficult were they to install ? Did you have to do anything to prevent a light out warning because of the lower amp draw ? Looks good btw !!!!

Very easy to install. I didn’t take off the grill. Took less than an hour. Just have to be careful with the clips. Most difficult one is the windshield washer funnel plastic clip. Be careful with it. I didn’t do anything to prevent warnings. No warnings or any faults so far.

Headlights shouldn't cause any trouble. When you start going to LED for turn signals is where you run into a problem that really isn't that big of a problem. The cluster indicator will hyperflash even though the turn signal is actually flashing at normal speed. This can be corrected with FORScan.

I used the Beamtech mains and the Alla Fogs. Forgot the part number, but if you look in the owners manual for the type of bulb for the fogs, just get the same number in LED. I think you already have your answer.

My total cost was $112 on amazon, four main and two fogs, best bang for the buck mod ever.
No errors on my truck, no flickering. Most have ZERO issues with power problems.

Hows the color? I know it can be tough to tell just from the pictures so wanted to hear opinions.

UPDATE:

I got one side installed.. and Looks great so far... can't wait to check them out at night.

Question?? Should I have removed Beamtech gasket and used the red FORD gasket? They seem to wiggle a smidge.
TIP: PASSENGER SIDE...I undid the front half of wheel well liner and folded it out of the way to access the back of the headlight housing. (As opposed to taking grille off, or removing battery...just moved washer fluid neck on drivers side)

Don't swap gaskets, don't double gaskets. The wiggling ins play between the outer collar that is held in place by one tiny set screw and the inner assembly.

Thanks.... Should I take them back out and tighten the set screw??? Or are they good to go right out of the box?
