$3K PCO > Now $2.5K ECO - Exclusive Cash Offer - (some say Elusive)

It probably doesn't matter anyway. We determined what we want (read, not what we need, want being the operative word there) and that was the point of the trip. Probably going to need to order it though, the likelihood of finding a 2020 F350 XLT Regular Cab, dually, 4x4, with the 7.3 big block and 4.30 gears is not high.

$1000 keeps people from walking into dealerships and ordering a bright red limited without a sunroof then deciding to cancel just because.
5th ordered Ford and you’re complaining about placing a deposit? Did the first 5 you order not ask for a deposit? Why didn’t you go back to them? No loyalty?

My dealer didn’t require a deposit or a contract, but If asked, I would have written a check for what ever they wanted without a thought..
On the flip side, my dealer will order any truck for anyone. If the customer doesn’t take it, they don’t care. It’ll just go into stock. They sell an average of 3 semi loads of Fords every day.

Based on the initial post, I can see how a person might assume the potential buyer wasn't serious. But on the flip-side, in light of the subsequent post by 16 superduty, I can also see how (given his experience in ordering trucks) that having a dealership require a non-refundable deposit will make him walk. He's done this before so he knows how the dance works.
Stop. Immediately.
Back on topic.

EDIT: on another note it's a PCO thread and I was replying how a PCO is eligible on 2020 orders

I’ve been looking for a PCO for a week now, haven’t been able to get one to pop up. I’m leaning towards a Sierra 3500 AT4 since it can be had at 70k right now with the specials they are running compared to $78k for a 350 Tremor. A $3k PCO would make me switch to the Ford because I do like adaptive cruise control which the Sierra doesn’t have.
