Sorry I took it off track, my bad, and I certainly understand that everybody's situation is different. I'd love to make financial sense of my F350 to my wife; we just had a huge showdown and she's livid.

Looking at your gauges it does look to me like your thermostat isn't opening.
Cold engines don't run right in numerous ways, and add to that the type of oil and coolant... who knows if your oil cooler is even having a problem.
I think its definately worth putting a tstat on to test before doing a cooler. Is the mishimoto worth 104.00? I really want to test this and can get a carquest from a client to test for 15 bucks.
I picked up the Mishimoto on Amazon for about $50. The Ford Tstats kept sticking. Went through 2 of them and through in the towel.

I have a diesel van and never tow. It's our camping rig. I would rather have a gas van. Inline 6 cylinders 1996 to be exact. However, I picked up the van for almost nothing. Pennies on the dollar as you mentioned.
this is bizarre- i have not done the thermostat (i did replace the board in the ficm). Yes I am a financial planner that also rebuilt his own ficm.
I made a run on the highway as tested and i enclosed the numbers. I also have some readings after a trip to homedepot. coolant mystically is warming up enough. maybe the t stat is intermitent. who knows.
cold soak this morning. i noticed the oil temp is off.
I think you need to run longer to get a true reading on the EOT and ECT. . When I run the van for an hour, the EOT-ECT is 7 degrees. It's been that way ever since I changed to an all aluminum radiator. My van runs at 204 EOT 197 ECT.
My cold soak sitting for 7 plus days was 2.5 degrees @50 F
