What are the temps after a cold soak? After it sat for around 24hrs? Are they actually rising to that temp and then stopping?

in the morning ect and eot measure similar to ambient but normally the same.

Yeah my vote is for the stat too. Looks like it's trying to keep the oil temps lower. The stat is a great place to start. Cheap and easy.

Looking at the screen caps, the limited range of EOT paired with the limited ECT range makes it not seem as unusual. In the last capture the lower range value of each extends much further down and is comparable, so I'm thinking that we're only seeing limited data. You could try logging data from a cold start all the way until ECT and EOT reach their max values, but I still think this is another case of a bad stat.

I think its definately worth putting a tstat on to test before doing a cooler. Is the mishimoto worth 104.00? I really want to test this and can get a carquest from a client to test for 15 bucks.

Just get an OEM thermo for $30 should also come with the housing and then do your test. Then search the forum for the mishi threads and read. You will want a new housing for the mishi stat anyway.

You can use the OEM housing, unless the aftermarket look is what you are after.

If you're in FL you don't need the Mishi, you'll never see the real benefits of it when it holds a higher temp in sub-freezing temps. My stock stat will run almost 200*f in the summer in Texas, that's plenty hot enough to run a 6.0 happily.
