Transmission question
is it normal for the rpms to spike and lower when shifting into neutral while moving?? I don’t coast in neutral but I was experimenting when pulling in the driveway if shifting into neutral would lower egts enough to turn it off

I have a related question. How often should I have the transmission in for general servicing? Bought the truck with 240,000 miles on and so far no problems. Previous owner said he had the front seal replaced and tranny serviced just prior to selling it to me.
