In order to get the smooth keypad, you would have to replace the entire pillar trim panel and it will definitely be more expensive than $30. The smooth keypad is built into the pillar trim panel, it doesn't have a cut-out for the keypad like the rubber button one does.
I realize the trim panel would have to be replaced, I was just hoping they were 2 separate parts and someone would only have to buy the keypad to figure out if it would work before spending the extra $. But I admittedly have not looked any of the parts up. With my luck it's a single part that costs $$$$.
Well I went to the dealer today (Sunday) and did some measurements comparing the B post pillars between Super Duty and Expedition. They aren't even close in any way.
