Anyone else truck randomly have the mirror lights and third brake spot light randomly come on? It's not all the lights like when you open the door. Just the mirror lights third brake spot light and tailgate led. Not the box lights either. Deff weird.
Not gonna lie. The first time it happened was last week and I was watching tv late at night and saw the lights come on through my sliding glass door. I ran upstairs and grabbed my 30/30 and was running around outside in my underwear and work boots 😂😂😂. I thought some one opened a door to my truck or something. We live in the middle of nowhere so i was like wtf. Haha.
no. All stock. I did enable test settings tho and some times I change the background temporarily. I also updated to v3.0 on sync. Truck is 6 months old with 10k miles. This just started happening last week. Is there anything I can test myself before bringing it in? I want them to enable the dog screen anyways but like to try and avoid trips to the dealer for something I can do myself. Is there a way to master reset the BCM? Disconnecting the battery's overnight?
In many, many cases random electrical issues have been caused by a connector above and behind the spare tire that apparently is not sealed against water intrusion. It might be worth a minute of your time to see if the contacts are wet or corroded. It’s a white connector.

Hahaha! At least you didn’t put a round through your truck! Might have had a problem getting the light issue covered in warranty!!

I'm not sure there's a reset for the BCM. Nothing for it to learn. My guess is you got water trapped somewhere like dude above mentioned.
I was surprised when I pulled my corner marker light the other day to tap into it... the wires were all taped up, when I opened the tape it was filled with water. Granted, it wasn't allowing it into the connector, but still disturbing.
