my wife hates the harsh ride of my 97 350 crew cab 8’ bed. We will never pull anything with it besides the boat.
is it possible to swap the springs with a 250 for a “softer” ride?
The rear springs on the F350 and 250s are the same. The only difference is the 250s use a 2" block between the axle and spring pack, while the 350s use a 4" block.

If you are talking f250 obs front springs, that will make it ride way worse. The 250 springs are reverse arch but are stiffer because with that "independent" f250 front end makes each axle half act somewhat independent of the other. Where the D60 is a straight axle and can spread the load some side to side and borrow spring rate. You can do a RSK modification kit. This puts the spring pivot from the front and converts it the rear like a superduty which give a better ride. Then you can choose to do that with the obs spring or superduty spring. Or you can convert front and rear axles to 05+ superduty and convert the front to coil spring.
It will help quite a bit. I put on some rancho 9000s and it made a very noticeable difference. Then I added rear air bags which also helped. I have an RSK sitting in the garage waiting to be put on. I hope to get to it in June sometime. Shocks are a great first step
