Spring swap question
I got a set of springs from an 01 F250 Crew Cab. They are code U fronts and A rears. Besides the U-bolts, I don't need anything else, right?
Do I need to change the bump stops for the front?
Are there any blocks I need to change or is it just going to be a spring swap.
Going to change it next week so any opinions are valued. TIA

I dont know what spring rate those are, but I would have spare spring eye bolts, just in case. They are not always the most friendly to remove, and sometimes require cutting. With just new ubolts you shuold be alright. I would keep the existing rear block thats on your Ex now, because it its like the blocks on my 250, its angled, to set the pinion angle. Are the ones on your Ex sagging or ?

Out of curiosity, do the "new" set you have have the same amount of leaves? Do they have the overload leaf? If they do, you might look into installing the bumpers, that the overload leaf rides against under load. Like most of the pickups have. Little extra capacity to be had then. You would probably have to drill the frame to put them there, but if you measured the distance off a truck, it might be worth your time. This is all providing you have a spring pack with an overload leaf anyways.
