Took off the steering wheel and found 2 copper contacts connected to a blue/yel wire and a yel/blue wire. They dont seem to be making good contact on the copper plate. Is there supposed to be a spring or something?

I am not sure exactly how they configured your year mechanically for the horn. Sometimes they used brushes. I believe there may be some vendors that cater to your year truck for restoration parts, maybe they have something for sale on their site that is related to the horn contacts in the column.

I did find the diagram for the horn. It's in this link. http://www.fordification.net/tech/im...aster_8of9.jpg

If you look at the far left of the diagram, you can see the headlight switch. You can see where the power comes into the switch on the black/orange #25, and once it gets in the switch is splits in two, into two circuit breakers. To the left is the headlights, to the right is the marker lights, and they tap off the marker light circuit breaker and leave the switch on a yellow #460 wire. If you follow the yellow #460 wire to the right, it ends up to a set of parenthesis where you have two options. One option without the relay is without cruise, the one option with the relay is the truck with cruise.

Even though you do not have your marker lights working yet, I am more and more confident you had a problem with your headlight switch, since now you have replaced it, you are getting voltage to the horn circuit. So you are that much closer to getting your marker lights working.

Thanks for all your help Franklin2. I really appreciate it.
Apparently i cant buy just the contacts so i have to get a whole new switch. Its $90-$120 just for a motorcraft one, crazy. Have to order it so it will b another week.
I think this will do the trick. I was able to make contact briefly with these wires and the horn and all the lights worked. Finally, think i made it to the base of the problem. I will let u know how it goes.
