Been lurking recently ( so yes I know how to use the search function) and thought I would make an account and say hello. I have been a long time mustang guy and have a 70 coupe that I have been working on for several years however, recently I purchased a 78 F-100 Explorer 302 C6 PS PB A/C (no longer hooked up) 2wd. As you can see it needs some work but over all is in good shape. It runs pretty good but the brakes have been a headache. I have replaced the master and booster as well as lubed the bell crank assembly but the pedal will not return. Is it possible that I have a vacuum issue or something else entirely? In regards to the bellcrank assembly is there a rebuild kit or bushings that could be used to rebuild it? Does the lower part of the bellcrank assembly (where the bolt goes thru) need to move freely or does it act as a pivot point?
At any rate I hope you enjoy the pictures. If there is any interesting info about Explorers/Rangers feel free to let me know!
I did more research and found there is supposed to be a zerk fitting on the bottom of the bellcrank assembly, mine does not have this fitting.
Anyone know the size of the fitting needed?
Can you replace this bearing in the assembly, if so what size do you need and where can you get one?
Thanks
