08 f350 6.4 just had new motor installed idles great revs up fine by when go to drive shuts down any ideas?

You need to scan for codes. Could be something small as a bad MAF sensor to a big problem like fuel/injector problems. Something that drastic should be putting out a trouble code. Was it a crate motor, rebuilt motor or used motor? You need more detailed info in your post for somebody to help you.
