Have had Rhino Liner on my '99 dodge for the past 20 years. No complaints at all. Thick, tough, reasonably non-slip, no problems with install or durability, still looks good (enuf).
Just had Line-X installed on my '18 F350 friday. No complaints with install, thinner than I'd like, I have no idea on durability.
I didn’t vote because I’ve never had Rinho. Had Line-X on my last truck. Had the color match and UV protection and it looked like new when I sold it 5 years later. Dumped loads of pea gravel and crushed stone in it and scooped out by hand and no signs of wear.
I had LineX in the '06, it faded, but that was before any of the 'advanced' compositions.
I just put Linex in my 18. Went with the Premium (middle of the 2 choices) It's been 2 weeks...
I’ve had both on multiple trucks at my business in the past. The LineX proved to be more durable and better IMO. Anything I get now gets Linex Platinum
Linex all the way and don't look back. I can't even hardly believe rhino is still in business. My boss bought 2 2015's a few years ago and negotiated them to be ''Linexed'' in his words. They came in Rhino lined. The brochure for rhino looked like it hadn't been revised in 20 years. It's not bad, but it doesn't hold a candle to linex. To do my short bed in the regular linex was $538 with tax. It's hands down a better product! Spend the $100 bucks extra and get the linex. You won't regret it.
In 2004 I had the interior of my YJ sprayed with Rhino. Still holding up today, but it does not see the same use/abuse my truck bed does. I am on my fourth trick with LineX in the bed. I prefer it for a truck bed. Not as slippery when wet and I think it is tougher.
I have no recent info to offer on comparing the two liner options but my past experience with LineX (in my '02) is good.
When choosing a liner in '02 Rhino was clearly inferior according to my research at the time.
I opted for LineX in my '17 due to my previous experience, but I have not seen good comparisons between the two companies in recent years.
I also opted not to vote as I’ve never had the rhino liner either. I will say that within two weeks of having my new F250, I noticed the bed was taking a beating. Since then, I’ve had a Line-x sprayed in, and the performance has been fantastic. Very minimal slip when wet, tough as nails, and I’ve loaded it up with a wide variety of materials. Couldn’t be happier.
I had LineX in my 2006 and it held up very well. I used the crap out of that truck, hauled old engine blocks, axels, railroad ties, rock and tons of dirt. I did notice it fade but, to me that was not a big deal. I used the truck. It protected the bed and was very durable.
My '79 F250 has had Rhino Liner in it since sometime in the early 1990s back when my dad owned it. It has been parked outside its entire life (no topper or tonneau cover), and has held up to everything - firewood, gravel, old roofing shingles full of nails, etc. It has held up to all of this and the truck is still in use to this day. Unless something has changed in the last 25 years or so I don't see why a Rhino lining could be considered inferior to any other lining.
