I'm thinking about purchasing a 89 Bronco with 87,000 miles on it for $2,000. The interior is in great shape and the exterior has minor rust just above the rear quarter panel, and some paint bubbling. My question is are the front clips,(i.e. grill, bumper, headlights, front fenders)interchangable with the 92-96 Bronco? I like the look of the wrap around headlights and grill better? If so is it just a bolt up switch or do I need to fabricate?
Yes, the front clips are interchangable. Check here for information on the process. www.autofab.com For the most part I am fairly certain its bolt on. Not sure about the bumper situation since Ford put that silly "accordian" section at the front of the frame rails. Supposedly some sort of "crumple zone". But I've NEVER seen a front end wreck with a 92+ model that they actually CRUMPLED.
