I was reading my owners manual (gasp!) and I came across a couple maintenance points I had questions on.
1) Where are all of greasable fittings? I thought Ford had gone with "lifetime sealed" units all over. But they're mentioned in the manual. I have a 16 2.7L 4x4.
2) Where are the body drain holes? It says they should be drained.
Hi,No Greasable fitting that i know of and Drain Holes in the Body are Probably in the Box by the Cab and
in the Bottom of the Doors if you have a Rigid of Large Zip Tie stick it up in those slotted Holes if any are
clogged the doors can fill up with Water I think i heard that water from the Windows drain into the Door.
Like said above there are no grease zerks on the new half tons and there are drain holes in the bottom of each door(usually one at the front and rear). I believe there are also some drain holes along the bottom of the rocker panels. I know our 2012 has them but they are nothing more than some narrow slits positioned every few feet along the bottom of the cab.
I have a 2016 and it has square drain holes at each corner of each door. Just above it is a rubber gasket covering a slit in the door that can drain out the water if your drain gets plugged and the door fills with water. I don't know of any other "drains" the truck has. All OEM ball joints and the like don't have an grease fittings to grease, all parts are self contained.
