Has anyone had luck getting ford to buy back a lemon without getting an attorney?
I have a 17 F250 Platinum that has now been in the shop for over 60 cumulative days in the 9 months I have owned it. It had a shake since day 1, and it is still not repaired, getting tired of dealing with it and really don't want the truck anymore. I want the truck replaced with the same truck as I purchased, but I am not having much luck with Ford Customer Service.

hmm. What's your gross vehicle weight rating? Looks like Arkansas Lemon Law excludes over 10k GVWR
The Arkansas lemon law on new cars does NOT cover the living quarters of mobile homes. The Lemon Law does NOT cover vehicles over 10,000 pounds gross vehicle weight rating. However, motor homes over 10,000 pounds gross vehicle weight rating are covered.

I had a GMC CCSB 4x4 a few years ago with a cold start knock out of warranty. I filed a claim with the BBB and just before we were to go to arbitration, GM offered to replace the engine or buy the truck back. I elected for the new engine. Maybe give that a shot?

2026 Shelby F-150 Off-Road: Better Than a Raptor R?
My truck qualified for the lemon law 2017 F250 CCSB but due to amount of mileage I had on it (48k) I would only get a prorated amount lower then trade in value. I opted to trade it in.
sure did, it has been awhile back in 2004 ordered a 2004 f150 loaded lariat, it had a issue with engine knock, they tried every thing to fix it. the ford engineer came down three times, and I was in a loaner long enough that I put 7000 miles on it went to WI. and IL. in it. finally the ford rep. said they were buying it back. I never said a word about the lemon law in AR. best part was I got put in a 2005 King Ranch for what I owed on the 2004 which was 20,000 not only that but they also paid for taking off the parts I put her and paid to put them on the 2005, we are talking stereo, exhaust, lettering, and the leveling kit, they almost did not cover that because they thought it was a lift. I will never say bad a word about them, and I have a great dealer!!

I had my 2005 F-250 for 10 years and over 60,000 miles on it when Ford bought it back. They dated the value back to the first time it went in for repair. I recovered everything I had put into it plus interest. There are LL lawyers that file for free and the manufacturer pays their fees. If they don't win they don't get paid.
I just finished a buyback from Ford on a 2017 I purchased in October of last year. It was a long aggravating process but payed off in the end. Since yours has been in the shop so much I'd keep calling Ford corporate. That's what I did and they finally escalated my case. After you get past the first call center you will get a rep that handles your case. Then if you get approved for a buyback he forwards to another rep that handles the buyback. My truck stayed in the shop almost the entire month of January. I finished my buyback and purchased my 2018 March 13th. If I can help any let me know or PM me your number we can talk. Thanks
No lawyer is needed. I did this on my 6.0 Powerstroke. All of the manufacturers have a buy back program that they want to use before a vehicle gets a lemon law title as they can no longer "fix" and sell it at a high price if it gets a lemon title. Documentation is key here. When I did mine, I had over 72 pages of documentation, pictures, service reports, call logs, etc. I did file the lemon law paper work. I also found a regional Ford office and made some calls to find out who the highest ranking person was there. Walked in with no schedule appointment, told the receptionist I had an appointment with Mr. XXX and she took me right to him. I told him I was filing for Lemon Law for one of his dealers and I thought he might want to know. Handed him a copy of my evidence and a copy of the lemon law paper work and walked out. I had Ford corporate on the phone within a day. Ford scheduled a review board meeting with me and within minutes of the meeting start, they had agreed to a buy back.

When I had my hearing with the Ford lawyers on my 05, their head guy asked me if I kept these kinds of records on all of my vehicles. I told him that I had the same type of records for my lawn mower. He closed his brief and the meeting was over.
Yeah, they were a bit stunned with what I brought:
72 pages printed in a nice binder for each review board member
an umbrella for each member (it was raining)
towels in truck
tarp to lay on since it was raining and it was a 6.0 so it was leaking
small TV and DVD player as part of my documentation was videos of the truck completely shutting off on the highway at highway speeds
Needless to say I went in to win and did so without any question. Their first question to me was "Is it leaking right now and can we see it?". That's when I pulled out the umbrellas and handed them to each person, explained that I had towels in case they got wet, and a tarp to put down so that they didn't get their clothes dirty. They were completely stunned and said in all the years doing it, they had never seen anyone that prepared. It didn't take them 5 minutes for a decision.
