I purchased a new F150 Lariat less than 2 months ago. Sporadically but on a regular interval I receive a dashboard warning that runs thru all of the following warnings. - Hill Descent Control Fault, Service Advance Trac, See Manual.
Sometimes it occurs and goes away and nothing is impacted.
Other times drive mode is disabled (cannot switch out of normal drive mode), cooling fan kicks on, and on a few occasions I have felt "adjustments" occurring with the rear axle. On 2 occasions my truck wouldn't even start; one time it didn't start for a few minutes and the second time it wouldn't start for a few hours.
The dealership has been of little help. Because the check engine light does not always stay on they claim they cannot duplicate the issue.
The best I can do is hope I am driving by a dealer when this occurs and they can triage; otherwise they claim to be helpless.
I've attached a quick video showing the warning display that is presented.
Has anyone experienced similar and what was your resolution?
Also, does anyone have experience in TX working thru the lemonlaw process?
I doubt it is a software issue. I am betting on a lose or corroded connection on one of the harness plugs. There have been quite a few threads in the Super Duty section about strange things going on with their trucks and it ended up being a harness issue. Also, I would check all of the ground wires and make sure they have a good connection.
The dealership should be able to trouble shoot this even if they can't replicate the issue as long as you have proof (video). If they don't help, I would find a new dealer and elevate it up above the dealership level.
Hi,I did see the Check Engine Light on that should of sent out a Hard Code that's Stored in ECM or BCM
Did you take it to the Dealer to read the codes?
