I have been having issues with the connection between my ECU/PCM and the program connecting. I have the MX bluetooth adapter that Tugly was recommending a few years ago and if I unhook it and then re-attach it, most of the time they will reconnect, but it's a bit of a PIA to have to do that every time I turn off and re-start the truck. I have read that it may be that the Torque APP may need top be updated, but I can't figure out how to do it. I am running it on a 7inch Samsung tablet. I am not sure what OS is running on that though. Any help would be appreciated.

The only way I know to update an Android app is to go into google play and look under my apps. You should see Torque Pro and a button for update. I only use Android for Torque Pro and Car Gauge Pro so I just have basic advice.
All my Android devices are Google - and I can't seem to stop them from updating. I get notifications almost daily about this or that updated app, then I'll get days where several apps update. I just got another 8.1 update on the Pixel 2 (Oreo), and I can count on about 44 app updates to take place soon. I have done a manual update on an old cheap Android device I once had, but I learned from that experience I didn't want the cheap stuff any more. All I can remember is the need to go into the settings and ferret out the update command.

Well this tablet is maybe 3 years old and had it's own air plan through AT&T and was a "top of the line unit" when it was bought. I have looked all over the Torque APP itself to see if it had a manual command that would do it, but I can't find it. I will look in Google play later today and see if I can do it from there.
