Thanks for the input, I didn't mean to start a feud.

Another question, the owner of said 5th wheel tows it with a late model 3/4 ton dodge.

Does dodge have about the same towing capabilities?

Dodge seems to have a slightly higher capacity rating from what I hear. The discussion I recall was about the Dodge equivalent to the F-450 and Dodge had more capacity.

The owner you're talking about may be over his capacity also.

d50h......you didn't start anything; yours was a legitimate question.....don't feel bad about it. Towing/ratings/capacities discussions is just one of those things that more often than not is very opinionated. Hopefully you have gotten some information that you can use to make a wise choice for your own needs, and hopefully that choice allows you to have some fun....and be safe in the process.

backtrack2015 comment's about not exceeding F350 ratings, with a F250.. reason is both have EXACT SAME FRAME/BRAKES.. Tires & springs & about 1100$ is the only difference, and tires are not spec'd by the F250/F350 model..
