I have a 1965 F-100. It has the original 352 V-8 and 3-speed with overdrive. I am wanting to take the 3 speed out and put an automatic in it. My question is I know of a guy who has a 65 Ford Galaxie that has a 352 with an automatic, can i use all of the components (Transmission, Bell Housing, steering column etc) in the truck? If im not mistaking its a C-6 in the car.

1965/66 Galaxie/LTD 352/390 A/T would be the FX or MX Cruise-O-Matic, 1965/67 F100/350 352 came with MX Cruise-O-Matic. C6 introduced in 1966 Galaxie/LTD/Thunderbird with the 428 engine.
Passenger Car converter (bell housing: M/T) housing, steering column, driveshaft will not work on F100/350.
Do not throw away the Overdrive or any associated parts, as all are valuable. If the truck was mine, I'd keep the Overdrive.
In fact, I owned a '65 F100 352 for 44 years (1965/2009) with this trans.
Thanks for the info! I have contemplated keeping the original 3 speed w/ overdrive in it. Transmission is fine, overdrive doesn't work. I just want to make it more driveable. I drive it to the local towns (all about 15 miles away) and take back roads. Just want to be able to drive it anywhere i want and it not be cruising at high RPM's. I have never looked to see how available parts are for the original transmission?
