Hey guys new here, so I’ve read all the former posts and issues on this subject and still can’t seem to figure this one out. I have 3 f-350 7.3’s and need my e brake sensor to work in order to run my remote rpm control. I’ve troubleshot this on my other trucks with contact cleaner and a lock washer and had no issues. For whatever reason I can’t get the light to come on the dash in this truck(even on startup when every light on the dash illuminates the parking brake light does not) I’ve checked the wire the contact points and the ground all are ok. Is there anything else I can check here. I’ve run the actual wore that goes to the spring mechanism directly to the frame and still no light. Is there a fuse or anything that controls the allunination on the dash?
Could be a burnt bulb in the dash? I wouldnt think the light alone would work the high idle switch, if your brake fluid gets too low the brake light indicator will come on, there should be a switch on the parking brake pedal assy or a switch that actuates off of the parking brake cable.
Thanks bronco, yea I would think the light in the dash would effect the RPM control but even after cleaning contacts and replacing the spring mechanism itself I still can’t get the unit to rev up
Does your truck have a pto? Im assuming because you are talking about the high idle. Have you looked to see if there is a switch along the cable itself?
