Dash Brake Light dont work?????
I just got this truck and noticed in the dash, the BRAKE (!) light dontwork.. i engage the parking brake and no light??? i turned the key off and on again and it didnt light in the light test so i figured it burnt out. went to the stealer and bought one but it still dont work???? PLEASE HELP????

so you pulled the dash and replaced the bulb? This may sound stupid, but are you sure you replaced the light bulb? There are a lot of indicator bulbs back there and I know it would be easy to replace the wrong one. just a thought :-)

Another easy thing to check is the little switch just above the parking brake pedal that tells wether or not the parking brake is applied. I would check to see if it is gummed up or sticking. Also, press it a few times. It should have a little clicking sound as the switch internals open and close the circuit. Im not 100% sure but I bet you if you can't hear the little clicking noise, that switch is the culprit.
Just another easy thing to check.

i definetly changed the right one because believe it or not it also says which one it is in the back. i havent checked the switch on the pedal yet onl because it would light when the key is turned on right/???? i still will give it a shot though..

dash brake lite follow up.
I have 2 dash brake lights that do not work. I pulled the dash panel and verified the bulbs good.
Did the e-brake switch fix your problem? If not, how did you fix it?
I also have a non working cruise control. I had the recall work performed and it failed shortly after that.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
