Axle Seal Direction
I have a 1991 F250 with full floating rear axle. I am replacing the rear axle seals and need to know what direction the seal is supposed to face .I can't go by what's on the truck because one side is one way, and the other side is the other. The new seals have 'OIL SIDE' stamped on one side of it. I assume that this side of the seal faces the bearing, can someone verify this. My confusion is that it looks backwards, but I guess that's because it is on the inside of the wheel vs the outside.

oil side faces towards the bearing.
