Battery Lamp

2015 Transit Connect 2.5. Battery warning light comes on and stays on after engine is started. No starting problems, charging voltage is 13.6. DTC U012D-00 lost communication with regulator control module. Has anyone experienced this or have any ideas??

I have a 2015 and have not had this problem. I would appreciate it if you would report back when you've found the solution. There are a few people on this forum who may have the answer; in the meantime; I will wait with you for an answer.

Only thing that comes to mind is to check the output for alternating current. Very rarely happens, but sometimes the diodes fail but don't burn open. You then have alternating current that the module will not read.

Just in case someone wants to buy a battery, it is BCI Group 40.
