Battery Control Module issue solved...
The 2011 we bought a month ago showed a message on the radio screen that things were shut off due to low battery. I also had the battery light on the dash showing up. Checked things out and found the battery was rated lower than the truck called for plus the charge dropped by .5 volts overnight. Went to Ford for testing and the battery showed a bad cell so we repaced it. Got home and still had the info screen on the radio saying it was off due to low battery. Researched and found this ... Battery Management System - reset? - Ford F150 Forum - Community of Ford Truck Fans .... I put my battery charger on the new battery for about 15 min till it showed full charge, and I followed the instructions on not having the negative cable attached to the battery but to a ground point on the body. Have since started the truck twice with no more indications of a weak battery. It appears the Battery Management System is a little known part at the dealerships and they have no idea about servicing it.
