I have a 2011 F-350 6.7 Powerstroke. Last week I smelled fuel and found fuel leaking from the top of the fuel pressure sensor part# BC3Z-9S599-C. I went to a dealer who, at first, told me the truck was unfixable because the part was on longer made. After several hours trying to locate one, they took one off a motor that was going to be replaced so we could get back on the road. Since then, I have been trying to find one, with no success. I would like to get a new one for a spare. It has been very frustrating and to think that these trucks are rendered useless just because Ford decided it does not need to stock this part. Any suggestions?
Spoke to a customer service rep at Ford today and she had no suggestions and offered no help. I have been told by two Ford dealers that the truck is not repairable. Sure does not make me want to purchase another Ford.
I understand how you feel Kountryguy. Its a part that may eventually fail and when it does they have 0 replacements I just cant wrap my mind around that as I am assuming they are still using it on the 6.7's and there have been atleast a few reports of this failing on other members. It makes me a bit nervous as well I will keep an eye out and continue to look for some as I will be ordered one as well to keep on hand just in case.
I called 3 more dealers this AM and still no luck. I would like to find someone in Ford management that acted like they cared enough to help solve this problem. If anyone has any other ideas, I would be very grateful.
I called them this AM, but they did not have one. He was going to place an order and try to locate one. He said he would call me this afternoon with the results. I will see what happens.
