That was me. I had to put it on hold alot of things kinda hit at one time and I didn’t have time to commit to it.
I can try to get it moving again I don’t have a problem with it, but it’s going to be a single design print. I had a lot of input which was good, but everyone wanted something different and for someone with no resources to do this besides tracking down businesses and get pricing and multiple designs isn’t logistically feasible for me. I just don’t have the time.
So if we can come up with a few designs, have a vote on one design. Then I can proceed with pricing and shirt colors. I had a graphic designer do a design which I did pay for out of my own pocket for an initial design for a shirt.
I’m more than happy to do so. If it seams to be a popular thing we can look into a second design. So maybe first round be a 2wd bump and second round be a 4wd bump.
LadderDogV10 i was just wondering what had happened. sometimes we plan to do stuff, but life says, hey were not gonna do that right now. and we have to wait for a while. i vote for the first one to be a two wheel drive and the second can be a four wheel drive. here,s just a suggestion. how about the first one being a 67 and the second one a 72. since this forum is for 67/72 trucks.? just some thing to think about.
i like the top pic. that ultraranger posted. the two tone looks slick. the second one down also looks good . but i like the first one better. the design could be kinda big one the back . and on the left chest pocket it could say 67/72 .with the FTE logo under it.
I got some T-shirts here... they weren't "F.T.E."-specific...
Picture of an old Ford truck and the Statue of Liberty on the front, with the caption "I MIGHT loan you my truck, but don't mess with my girlfriend!"
I got three of them, still have one that hasn't been worn.
I got 2 of them as well. Dave did them for us here in this board. He called them the JEFFFAFA special. Because part of my signature is on the back. At the top.
Doing them in color ( two tone trucks or certain color trucks) is certainly doable but I’m sure it’ll increase cost overall. And I can see it creating an issue. I.e. if we did a tan/white truck, how many are going to want a shirt with that color combo truck? 3-4? I’m just afraid by going a color combo truck it just won’t sell or have enough orders to make it worth it. As naturally people would like a color to resemble their truck. Which isn’t feasible from a cost standpoint as each print is essentially a new design which is money.
I just feel a generic ( for lack of terminology) for all design would be the way to go initially. Something that distinguishes the 67-72 bumps. I can look into separate scripts for F100, F250. I think those would make up the majority of the membership. I would start with a standard cab short box print as a first run, then possibly a LB or 4x4.
LadderDogV10 i know that the two tone would cost more. but it just looks Bitchin. having said that i think that just the out line of the truck viewed from the side would be o.k. with 67/72 under it. and the F.T.E. logo on the left chest pocket. also everybody is not a 3x. some of use are 4x, and need a tall shirt. because nobody wants to see plumber,s crack.

id definitely get pricing on all sizes when I get that far.

Now it's easy to fix that Plumber's Crack problem. Run a search for "Crack Spackle"!
