Can't open back passenger door

Can't open back passenger door
I have a 96 Explorer XLT 4.0L. The back passenger door will not open from the outside or the inside. Both the inside and outside handles feel normal (not loose). The power locks operate normally. I can't take the door panel off to see what is happening because I can't open the door. Help!

Try pulling up on the lock with pliers when you activate button!
