Truck started to run rough...Help

Long time reader, first time posting. So I have a 2008 F350 Powerstroke with 240,000 miles on it. Truck would start up and idle fine for 3-5 mins then start missing real bad. It was throwing a Cylinder 8 misfire code. So being the amateur that i am, I put a new injector in #8. Yeah, that didn't fix the problem... So I read up that I needed to do a compression test, don't have the tools for that. Off to the shop it goes. The diesel shop had to order the tool and had to wait on that. They did the test and got 300lb on #8, 350lb on #6 and 0 on #4. The shop called be to come take a look at it. So when they are showing me compression on #4, they said its going to get loud cause the truck will crank. RED FLAG. So I believe that the #4 reading is incorrect cause they most likely broke the schrader valve from cranking the truck on cylinder 8 and 6. Just my opinion. So after that, the shop decided to move injector 6 to 8 and 8 to 6. Cause injector 6 was working fine and code was from 8, Process of elimination. After doing this, they noticed that the rockers weren't moving on one set of valves by #8. The tip of the rocker and the retainer that holds it was sitting in the head. Past history- Rocker and bridge plates got replaced 5,000 mile ago, so they were new. Next step they did was order new rockers to install on that side. They have just installed them and now they notice that the valves still don't move. Next step for them is to remove the head and fine out why the valves are stuck. Not sure if they are stuck open or closed. Truck never overheated. Just starting running rough.....

So after all of that, What's do you think? Not worth fixing? Lifters are bad and cams probably bad now also.. I'm at a loss of to move forward and move on..

So the roller on the lifers wore out? Or you think the cam also might of went bad? Is this something that’s worth fixing or is always going to cause a problem even after it’s fixed?

I think they are Roller + hydronic, common failure point
