Clutch linkage problem

Hey guys I believe this is my first post but I’ve been a member for awhile. I’m having a problem with my truck. I have a 77 f250 custom. So about a year or so ago the clutch pedal just hit the floor and I went to Colorado . I opened the hood and looked at the clutch linkage and I found that the rod came out of the transmission fork. But everytime I put the rod back, one the clutch pedal will stay on the floor (or I can move it but it will not stay in the position it has to, to work. There’s no pressure and of course I can’t shift. I feel like I’m missing a part or a spring but whenever I try to look up on the internet to see what the clutch linkage should look like I only find v8 linkage. My truck is the 4.9l straight 6 3 on the tree. Can anyone tell me what part I’m missing?

There should be a long metal coil spring which pulls the fork forward, keeping the threaded pushrod engaged and in place.

The clutch pedal release rod (7521) attaches to the clutch pedal bell crank (7A554 in pic) under the dash (adjacent to the brake pedal 2455), then routes thru the toe board to the equalizer (Z) bar (7528).

The rod has 90 degree ends using a nylon bushing (7526) on each end. The bushings crack apart/disintegrate, the 90 degree ends begin to bend/crack, eventually break off.

When one or both 90 degree release rod ends break off, the clutch pedal drops to the floor, lays there like a drunken sailor.

The clutch adjustment rod has nothing to do with the clutch pedal dropping to the floor.

Also if the rod falls out easily it is more than likely out of adjustment as well.
