I happened to see the CHP playing dirty too... They had a portable scale set up on WB
HWY 84 in Woodside. Luckily I was headed East... I’d never seen a portable scale before....

i see portable scales all the time at the US/Can border here in NB all the time in the summer. Their looking for over loaded TT and 5ers.
Do you think you were over any load limits?
Trailer may have been over its gross.... It had a bunch of scrap metal/pipe and mixed debris.
It's only a 7K gross. (3K tare, so 4K payload?)
towing like a dream though. That’s nice. Mine is at the dealership. The fast ticking noise that I thought was “normal annoying ticking” is getting louder; especially in 4th gear. They think it might be in the transmission. Hope it’s only the torque converter and not a total rebuild. However it needs to be fixed prior to my trip across Canada with my 5er.
