Hello, my 99 f150 has a weird heater issue. All speeds work and it turns off when truck is off. But it stays blowing qhen control **** is off. And it will only switch to cold once in a while. It normally stays on blistering inferno. Thanks for any advice
The function switch in OFF position opens power to the blower motor.
If it ruins in the function OFF position the switch has some fault. Does the blower stop in any switch position? If yes, is the **** broken and pointing incorrectly?
The blower speed control never turns the blower off. Only to the lowest speed. No need for two stop switches..
The ignition switch supplies the power to the function switch so when it's off the blower stops.
As far as the heat goes it may be the flow director door mount broken. Its position is controlled by a sensor motor under the control of the Temperature control ****.
You just have to check these out to see exactly what's what.
May be two issues at the same time.
Good luck..
The blower staying on low was found to be a hot wire run to blowser motor by previous owner. Removed it and controls are normal.
now to correct no a/c. Probably blend door i suppose
