No spark

bought a 99 f-250 4x4 to pull a boat with for 1500 bucks. 5.4 2v triton. The seller said it needed a lil work lol. The trk had almost no power. After a close inspection I found that the timing chain cover had a big hole in it where the chain slapped it hard. A tensioner had failed so I figured it had jumped time but no codes to indicate it. I replaced the chains and made sure the timing marks lined up, put the tone wheel back on, put the cover back on, and buttoned everything up. Now the motor turns but will not start. I even pulled a couple of spark plugs out, hooked them back up to the coils then reconnected them. No spark . NEED HELP. To dumb to fix it and to poor for a mech

One very common cause of 'no spark' is a problem with Crankshaft Position Sensor. Make sure sensor / connections / circuit is good and intact. Tone ring on backwards might prevent it from sensing properly on that engine too. (Hope that's not it)
