pic 2 is still not behaving, but in general I didn't see anything frayed or broken. There appears to be a thin ring of black plastic between 2 halves on the balancer.
What exactly is the purpose for the damper to be marked out to 10° ATDC? Nothing is ever timed that way, so what use is it? Never really thought about it. That pic sure shows it up front and in HD. though.
