New To Built In Brake Controller

This truck is my first with a built in brake controller. I am at work, and am leaving in an hour and a half to pick up a new dump trailer. It just occurred to me that I did not read up in the manual regarding towing/electric brakes. Is there anything special to know? I've noticed in the steering wheel menu there is a towing section, and the truck "knows" if a trailer is connected. I've had a brake controller in a truck for 30 years. Does it work the same way? Thanks.

You can adjust the gain with the buttons on the brake controller, and you can squeeze the levers together to operate the brakes independently. I think you’ll find it’s pretty intuitive and works well. But you need to adjust the gain for ththe load.

That's what I thought. Thank you.
